I love the fact that Gene's wife cottoned on to him being in love with Sam far before he did, and I loved the way that Gene tried to dismiss it, And now that insanity was downstairs, washing the dishes was just such a wonderful line. Also, the ending... I can totally see that happening. Much as Gene is the one that's always going on about not being a fairy, he's very primal, very physical, and very instinctual - I can definitely see him being the one to act first, and Sam being the one that's scared away. Just like this.
