Ah, dammit
Apr. 3rd, 2005 04:59 pmWhy did we have one week of sunshine and now, when I'm heading back to school, it might rain again? Do the gods hate me that much?
Also, why is there no lesson on mean, median, mode, and range in the book? I wouldn't follow it, but I would use the practice problems. But it's not there, so I have (get to?) improvise.
On Firefly left. *sniff sob* I'm not all that inspired to write fanfic for it. At least not slash. I've got a great idea of a fic involving an OFC. She's someone I created eons ago for a teen series I was going to write. Sadly, I could never think of a good plot, so it sort of disinigrated into an Alias/La Femme Nakita fantasy in which the main character (Camille) got to fall in love with a man played by Gary Oldman while doing things like saving the president and stopping terroists from doing bad stuff. I've tried to come up with a plot, or find a fanfic to put her in, but she's never worked anywhere. For some very, very, very strange reason, she seems to work really well in Firefly. I've even got most of a plot and everything.
Maybe I can just change a bunch of names and write a sci fic book. Of course, I've tried to do that before (convert a fanfic to an original novel), but it didn't work so well. Two hundred plus pages of exposition and once I got to the plot, it all fell apart. But it was, actually, fairly well written, despite my overuse of passive voice and other first-draft mistakes.
Still waiting for COTW beta. Am trying to decide how the next fic should start.
