I actually did something today!

My sister is joining the tennis team this year at school. I love tennis (playing, not watching). I used to play every summer taking lessons and doing baby tournaments. My brother and I played. My mom and I played. But, lately, I haven't. I didn't join the HS team, and I never had any friends who were athletic. The one friend I tried to get to play with my had no hand/eye coordination.

But, today, I actually got out of bed and went out to play with my sister. It was fun. But I hurt my neck. *sigh*

I'm going to try and play again with her. She's actually not all that better than me, which is sad becuase i haven't been practicing all summer, but it makes it more fun.

Oh, and I found a dress for the wedding yesterday. Dress, shoes, and a purse. So I'm all set. :)

Oh My God

If your religious beliefs prevent you from teaching Greek mythology--a religion that I don't think has been really practiced since, well, the Greeks rules--then you probably shouldn't be a teacher. Seriously, reading Greeks myths is not the same as a. studying religion or b. anything close to a theological system. They don't tell anything about the religion! They're just adventure stories about what the gods and goddess did.

And if you're so anti-mythology, why the hell are you a literature teacher?
