Smallville Night!!
Dec. 17th, 2002 07:04 pmOk, so this post has nothing to do with Smallville, but I just had to announce that it is Smallville night.
In other news, I posted Corner of the World 30 yesterday. It's titled Power Play off a suggestion from Jessica (thanks!) and can be found here: http://www.lexslash.com/archive/archive/6/cornerof3.html
In other news, I've decided that my mascara has some sort of chemical that makes me cry every time I put it on. Today at work I was listening to Billy Joel's "Ballad of Brenda and Eddie" (actually, I don't know if that's the title, but it's about them), and started getting teary eyed. It was partly because I was imaging that Lex was playing it on the piano after Clark told him that he and Lana were together. Lex was very bitter and angry, and it made me sad.
I think I need to learn to tone down my imagination.

Date: 2002-12-17 07:29 pm (UTC)There are certain songs that I absolutely *can not* hear at this point without getting weepy because they make me think of Clark and Lex.
Goodbye Yellow Brick Road ~ Elton John
Maggie May ~ Rod Stewart
Those kill me. If I have it on the "adult contemporary station", hoping for "Crazy" by Paul Davis or something (or! Sometimes When We Touch, which I LOVE), and one of those songs come on, I have to change the station *fast*!

"Reflections" from Mulan is one of them (as is "I'll Make a Man Out of You" for reasons I will never understand). There's also a song by Ani DeFranco called 'Metaphor' that I love, but cry every time. Of course, it's about September 11th, so it's expected. But when I'm in a mood, man... any slow song. Seriously. Or love song. Those get changed right away.
