Man, Loki is barely even in this movie. Sucks.

Before I start: I really screwed up on my note taking. I somehow got my book upside down and couldn't see where I'd already written, so, yeah. It's weird.

Also, there was a preview for the new Jack Ryan movie with Chris Pine as Harrison Ford. And Kiera Knightly is in the movie and I could have sworn she kept calling Chris Pine "Dad" (because I didn't know what the preview was for or his name) and I was so confused because, outside of the In Time world, how on earth is Chris Pine remotely old enough to be Kiera Knightley's father? (Good Lord, I'm older than Chris.. by a year, but even so.) (Also, he's not; he's only 5 years older than she). Anyway, I finally realized she was saying "Jack", so....

And: I've never seen RoboCop and have... well, had no interest in the new one. But Gary Oldman and Jackie Earle Haley? Sign me up.

The only way I'll be okay with an Odin voice-over in the third movie is if it's really obvious that it's Loki narrating. And it's funny, not stupid.

Dear King Bors: Someone is always going to find that very power thing you've hidden. Always. So, idk, let someone you trust (like your son or something) know where it's hidden. Don't just let it be forgotten.

How did the Bifrost get fixed so quickly? I was under the impression it was going to take a long time. Did they use the Tesseract? Could they have maybe thrown in a line to explain?

Why does Odin only have one raven? Where's the other one? There were two in the Avengers.

How come Sif is back from Vanaheim and training before Thor is able to report to Odin. Did he stop somewhere else to fight first? If he did, great, that's fine. But let us know or something? Also, why does Anthony Hopkins suck so much? (I'm not sure what scene in particular that was. Something with a lot of exposition, probably.)

I like that Jane doesn't try to touch the Aether. She touches the stone, but that looked like it was more trying to brace herself. But she just looks at it. Then it grabs her.

Heimdall notes that Jane is studying the convergence without realizing it. I think technically, Eric was, but Jane was there to help Eric and then her equipment started picking it up so....

Thor doesn't even kneed to call for Heimdall to take him and Jane back to Asgard. Heimdall just knows something Very Bad has happened and Jane needs to be seen by their healers. Why doesn't Odin trust his judgement Is this movie just setting up Odin's fall and Thor's rise?

"Come with me." And then Odin takes Thor and Jane to tell the story that he already fucking told at the beginning of the movie!!.

As an antagonist, Maliketh is not very compelling. I don't' care about him or his crusade at all. Like... I hated the Red Skull, but at least I felt something. Maliketh just fell flat for me.

Frigga's funeral reminds me of the lantern scene in Tangled.

Does Jane put on Frigga's dress after the funeral? Because... that looks like what Frigga was wearing.

How long between the beginning of the movie when Loki is imprisoned and when Thor comes to ask for his help? Because Loki makes it sound like it's been a long time, but.... since he tends to throw a fit when Thor's attention is off him for any length of time. He is, after all, a full tilt diva.

"That hope no longer exists to protect you if you betray me." I like how that line can seem to stay that the hope (that Thor's brother is still there) does still exist, it just won't protect Loki if he betrays Thor. That's a great piece of writing.

I always assumed the secret pathways to other realms were metaphorical for some reason.

I get that Thor might not understand that he couldn't destroy the Aether, but you'd think that Loki would have had a clue the plan wouldn't work. But he looked just as surprised as Thor.

Algrim smashing Thor reminds me of Hulk smashing Loki.

The boys behind me (they were about ten years old) went crazy after Loki died. They were so upset. I almost turned around to tell them to calm down and think like a trickster, but I didn't.

I thought Jane's "lab" was at her mom's house. That looks like a little flat or something.

So.. Loki did totally kill some guard to escape off the planet.

So, the Mayans, Ancient Egyptians, etc, all built monuments to show where the next convergence would be, but the only ones Eric has mapped out are the ones in England. Is that the centerpoint of the convergence, or are there others around the world, too?

I love Jane's clothes. They are the closest thing to the way I dress I've ever seen on a super-hero's love-interest.

The bus behind Jane's head before Thor goes into the Aether to plant the science sticks on Malekith says "Moral Sacrifice"

It's be hilarious if Loki really was planning on escaping to freedom after reporting his death to Odin, but took his place when Odin collapsed to maintain peace in the realms. And then Thor blew that out of the water by abdicating so now Loki's stuck. Not that I think that's what happened, but it'd be funny to see Loki stuck in his own web.

Also, I totally didn't catch that "Odin" lets Thor keep his hammer because Loki can't lift it. What was he going to say? "Oh, just leave it on the floor. I'll get it later." I guess he could have told Thor to take it to the vaults and place it there, but the longer Thor stays, the more in danger Loki is of being discovered.

The kids were super stoked when Loki was still alive. I had no idea he was popular among little boys.
